Ugh, I’m still in the Valentine’s Day mood… Seriously I still have my decor up and everything! So, before this phase goes away, I decided to share with you some ideas from our day and I must say, this year’s Valentine’s Day was pretty special for me and my future Hubby! ♥︎

So, first things first… (DON’T judge 😂 I have a hard working man and his truck is always muddy because of his job!)

But, I decided to surprise Ashton the night before Valentine’s Day and write him little notes and put up a cute little “I LOVE YOU” necklace on his rearview mirror and I got some cute curling ribbon and strung it up! So easy and cute and literally costs nothing!! Needless to say, when he went to work the next morning he called me and only had the sweetest things to say.

The next thing I did was buy all the goodies for him! I decided to go with the senses gifts! As in sight, taste, sound, smell, and touch!

For sight, I went with some intimates.. of course. For taste I got some champagne. For sound I got him headphones for his Xbox… lol. For smell, this candle and this one are the best! And last and final thing is touch! I got bath bombs and baby oil!

I also made some hotdogs and fries, filled those popcorn tubs up and made some nachos! I ALSO CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES! And they were sooo good! So, we ate a bunch of junk food (lol) and watched 50 Shades of Grey because he hasn’t seen a n y of them! (I KNOW!)

Finally, for me.. I decided that Ashton surprises me with flowers every single week, so I thought I should take over this Valentine’s Day and ask for one single thing. Which was my FujiFilm Instax Mini 9! He got me that and obviously some film. And I must say, I LOVE it! It’s the greatest thing since sliced bread!

I love the old-time feeling it gives me because I remember when I was younger my mom using this type of camera and we would take family photos with it! So, it certainly gave me some memories and I couldn’t be happier with it.

Well y’all, I think thats about it. Honestly I did spend quite a bit of money.. But, it was so worth it. All truth be told, you really don’t have to spend a ton of money! I did it because I can’t even compete with how much he spoils me, but you can go as cheap or as expensive as you want! I had such an awesome Valentine’s Day this year and it was so sweet to just relax and not get all giddy up.

So my final thoughts are, if you wanna go out on the town on Valentines Day, go ahead! It’s always so much fun and I love the feeling of showing my man off. But, if you wanna stay home and retreate a “movie theater and watch some rom coms, I promise you it’s the thought that counts and your lover will certainly appreciate it! (Ashy did for sure!!) And it’ll save ya money! 😉

I hoped this helped you and until next year…. XOXO
