Bible Verse Week: 6

Hi y’all!

I’m getting kinda messy on these bible verses… I would love to have a set date to do these, but I’ve been pretty busy lately… Which is actually what I wanted to talk with you about.

Stress.

We all get to that stage in life where we have so much on our plate and we try to tackle every bit of it by ourselves so fast.. but, even God himself said to slow down – take it easy.

So, if you’re feeling stressed or just pretty busy… the next two bible verses I have for you guys will be perfect!

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

Eccle. 3:1

This verse was one that came to mind pretty quick. Obviously God wants you to be happy and you can’t always be happy and get all the things you want to get done because STRESS. God doesn’t want you to be stressed so he’s here telling you, for that thing and that thing you have to do, there will be time for that. Slow your roll, chick. There is always time for everything you need to do. “Every matter under heaven.”

For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living. As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good.

2 Thess. 3:11-13

Another fairly simple verse to decipher. He says, “some are not busy, but busybodies.” Saying some of us are busy and have a lot going on at once, and some of us are busybodies that stay busy and never have time for our own work. Instead of staying busy and worshiping God, worship him quietly while making a living for yourself. You can’t always grow weary in doing good. He understands you have a life and a job and you just overall have a busy life.. you don’t have to always be in the workings of his will. Work at your own time and worship him at your own time. Don’t go weary dragging yourself trying to worship God and work.
