Bible Verse Week: 5

Happy Sunday! <3

And with it being Sunday, you know what that means… another bible verse. This one is gonna be short but one of my favorites. (I have a alot)

1 Corinthians 13:13

Three things will last forever–faith, hope, and love–and the greatest of these is love.

There are many reasons why I love this verse, along with this whole chapter which is usually played at anniversaries and weddings; And I LOVE weddings! But, this one verse is so sweet and it’s so powerful. In Corinthians, Paul talks about how love is not an emotion, it’s an action. Which is an unbelievable truth.

But, in chapter 13 verse 13, it’s clear that we will have faith, hope, and love forever. We have God’s love, we have a love for God, and we have loved one another. And while we have faith in God, what will we have hope for when we enter the gates of heaven? We already have better days for eternity, In eternity we will continue to trust in God’s goodness in our lives. Hope in this sense abides or remains as do faith and love. But the one that will truly last, is love. Because all the while of us loving God and loving one another, we experience love from God himself.

And that’s why I’ll always love this verse. Love is beautiful, coming from us, and God.

Thanks for stopping by!
